The Formula Drift 2025 season continues to heat up—literally and figuratively—as the series made its stop at the infamous Orlando Speed World for Round 3. Temperatures soared well over 100°F with a heat index of 115°F, putting both drivers and their machines to the test. Action Clutch racer Jeff Jones faced extreme conditions, fierce competition, and a grueling track layout, but powered through to give the fans an action-packed weekend of drifting.
SETTING THE STAGE – ORLANDO SPEED WORLD BRINGS THE HEAT
Orlando’s banked oval track is one of the most aggressive in the Formula Drift circuit. The high-speed entry, unpredictable grip levels, and sudden transitions between bank and infield make it a true test of driver skill and vehicle durability. With ambient temperatures reaching record highs, mechanical failures plagued multiple drivers. But thanks to thorough prep and dependable equipment, Jeff Jones Racing stayed locked in throughout the event.
QUALIFYING RECAP – CONSISTENCY EARNS THE SPOT
Jeff came into Round 3 prepared, qualifying strong with a composed and technical run. While the high temps made tire management a challenge, Jeff remained steady, earning a solid position going into the Top 32. His Nissan 370Z, powered by the LSX platform and paired with an Action Clutch custom triple disc kit, delivered smooth, consistent engagement under pressure.
TOP 32 – PUTTING ON A SHOW
In the Top 32 battle, Jeff squared off against a formidable opponent. With precision entries and aggressive angle, Jeff showcased his veteran experience and mechanical confidence. Thanks to seamless power delivery and footwork dialed in through his Action Clutch setup, Jeff advanced to the Top 16 after an exhilarating head-to-head.
TOP 16 – HEAVY HITTERS & A HARD-FOUGHT FINISH
Facing one of the series’ top seeds in the Top 16, Jeff gave it everything. Despite a clean lead run and a committed chase, the judges narrowly awarded the round to his opponent. While the journey ended at Top 16, Jeff’s performance proved once again why he’s a respected name on the FD grid—consistent, fearless, and fan-focused.
